TRAVEL TIPS
We are happy to welcome you to the Middle of the World, a city full of history, culture, and unique landscapes.

Here you will find some practical tips to make the most of your stay.

WEATHER & CLOTHING
Quito is at 2,850 meters above sea level, and the weather changes quickly.
Average temperature: 10°C – 20°C. Bring layered clothing: a light t-shirt, a sweater, and a light coat.
Always carry a raincoat or small umbrella.
Don't forget sunscreen and sunglasses (the sun is strong even with clouds).

CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR
Wear comfortable walking shoes (the Historic Center has cobblestone streets).
For fine dining, wear a smart-casual outfit.
A scarf or bandana will be your best friend in the evenings.

AIRPORT
The airport is 45–60 minutes from the city.

HELPFUL TIPS
Electrical outlets: Type A/B, the same as in the US (you don't need to adapter).
Official currency: US Dollar (USD).

FINAL TIP
Enjoy Quito calmly, chat with its people, and be amazed by the blend of tradition and modernity.

It will be an unforgettable experience!
